
In 1936, Mr. Cliff Garrett formed his company in L.A. and only in the 1950s, the company expanded to turbocharger business when the first T-50 was delivered to CAT. Gradually, AiResearch Industrial Division was formed and in the 1980s, had a merger with the Signal Companies, creating Allied-Signal, Inc. In 1999, it became part of Honeywell and subsequently in 2004, its business name was formally changed to Honeywell Turbo Technologies, while Garrett has been retained as a product brand. Through its brand Garrett, Honeywell provides the world's high performance engines with first class turbos.
